I can't take too much of her, as you read, so I try to avoid listening to what she says unless I want to give myself high blood pressure. However, a rule of thumb is that when anyone denies systemic racism, that is the definition of someone holding a racist belief. Many dislike being labeled "racist," which I understand. I don't believe "being racist" is a core characteristic, it is rather a description of the type of idea one is supporting in any given moment. Just like saying someone is "being rude" that doesn't mean they are always rude, but it's the type of idea and belief one is supporting in that moment. Certainly, someone can have a generally rude character, just like someone can be generally racist, or upholding racist ideas.
