Hi Anala, thanks for reading. What is fair or not fair is beside the point. As you may have gathered from my article, the term microaggression is an academic and social term developed to describe certain behaviors and consequences of unintended slights. I am not inferring anything about her level of purposeful aggression.

Also, according to diversity departments, and affirmative action, no one needs to "bend over backward." As the policy states, if two people are "equally qualified," the position goes to the person of color. Furthermore, there is no way to know, as a matter of fact, if the reason I got into the college had anything to do with my race. That would be a complete assumption, since, as a matter of fact, there is no way, unless you work for college admissions, to know whether I got in because of the color of my skin.
