…riters and the directors are, more often than not, white, and base their characters on stereotypes. They make these characters say racist things, but since they are said by Asian actors, it somehow makes it okay.

I would say something I have seen is the side-kick Asian person, or the funny, sarcastic character. Did you watch Riverdale? There was a notable change when Reggie, who is East Asian, is replaced by someone else who looked nothing like him. Anyway, he is like the chump.
