Yes, and the other part is that the term is coopted from the adoption movement. I am a transracial adoptee. That basically means that your parents who adopted you are of a different race than you. So, ironically, Dolezal’s black siblings actually ARE transracial, she isn’t. There she goes again. When Dolezal affirmed this identity to describe herself, she was appropriating a term from another movement. Not surprising, given her track record.
